Carhartt creates a wellness strategy all their own in a push for associate well-being

Carhartt, the apparel company, faced a fragmented, home‑grown approach to employee wellness across corporate offices, manufacturing plants and retail stores and wanted a simpler, more engaging way to support a diverse workforce. They selected Vitality and its Vitality program (including the Power of Vitality portal) to unify biometric screenings, health assessments and other initiatives under a single, comprehensive wellness strategy.

Vitality provided a one‑stop program supported by a dedicated wellness strategy manager, multi-channel communications, competitive challenges and incentives, bringing mental, nutritional, financial and physical wellness into one platform. The results were tangible: more than 62% of associates completed a Vitality activity in 2018, 55% achieved Silver status or above, activities per member per month rose 2.8x, overall risk groups improved by 5.9%, and the program delivered a 2.59 ROI over three years.
