Leading Regional Health Plan partnered with Vitality to boost member health and engagement across its populations. Facing the challenge of turning transactional interactions into sustained, preventive care behaviors, the plan launched Vitality’s personalized health experience beginning with employees in 2021 and then extended it to level-funded and ASO groups.

Vitality delivered a behavioral-science driven program—personalized experiences, targeted communications, nudges and rewards—that drove measurable results: 63% registration, 65% of members engaging monthly, 52% highly engaged, and 41% completing preventive health actions, plus improvements in biometric and lifestyle risk groupings in year two. The Vitality partnership also increased diagnoses and quality efforts, proved cost-effective without the richest rewards, and attracted additional ASO groups while improving retention and reducing carve-outs.
