DOCit Trinity Village Care Centre and VitalHub Innovation Partnership in Healthcare DOCit Case Study

Doc.It partnered with VitalHub to help Trinity Village Care Centre solve a common long-term care challenge: frontline staff relied on multiple paper-based and computer-based systems that were hard to access at the bedside, created duplicate logins, slowed communication, and increased the risk of documentation errors. The goal was to improve efficiencies for personal support workers (PSWs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) while supporting better care and compliance.

VitalHub co-developed DOCit, a smartphone app that gives staff real-time access to tasks, schedules, resident data, checklists, and documentation tools. In testing, PSWs saved an average of 23 minutes per shift, house managers saved 1.5 hours per shift, and data quality and accuracy improved by 30%. The solution also helped staff take breaks more consistently and improved care coordination, with VitalHub later rolling out the product more broadly as its VH Long-Term Care offering.
