Staples, the world's largest office products company, faced a challenge with high employee turnover at its new, rapidly growing call center in Halifax. They needed to provide fundamental management skills training for employees who had been promoted from within. Staples partnered with Vital Learning and used their Vital Leadership: Essential Skills courses to address this need.
Vital Learning provided a systematic training curriculum that matched Staples' corporate values. The implementation was a tremendous success, resulting in turnover dropping by almost one-third over the course of a year. This reduction helped build a culture of excellence that led to the call center being certified for customer satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates, a first for the office products industry.
