EDF - Customer Case Study

EDF, one of the world’s largest electricity producers with about 150,000 employees, needed a reliable scheduling tool to manage its training activities. The head of a training team sought software in 1998 to coordinate 15 people and to share schedules and project steps among trainers, project managers and assistants across the organization.

After a successful demo, EDF installed Visual Planning on its servers and rolled it out department-wide in France with over 100 licenses. The solution enabled stakeholder scheduling, absence tracking and production forecasting, was quickly adopted for its user-friendliness, and was later expanded to handle outbound call management and booking of rooms, tools and vehicles.
