A Visual Planning Case Study

Baxter - Customer Case Study

Baxter, following its acquisition of Hillrom, is a global medical technology company (about 50,000 employees) supplying hospitals with beds, surgery tables, patient lifts, dialysis devices and more. As their business grew and devices required continuous preventive and corrective maintenance, the technical teams needed a more powerful planning tool than Excel to gain visibility of activities, improve communication between technicians and planners, and manage follow-up more effectively.

They implemented Visual Planning (SaaS) to centralize scheduling and field interventions, with a quick installation and adoption by 60+ users. The solution provided real-time schedules, color codes and pictograms for rapid task recognition, better monitoring and cross-team communication—leading to improved responsiveness, higher throughput and more efficient team organization and follow-up.
