Crystal Group, a designer and manufacturer of rugged computer hardware for demanding, regulated customers (including the U.S. DoD), faced the dual challenge of maintaining strict AS9100D/IEEE/IEC and MIL‑SPEC compliance across high‑mix, low‑volume production while rapidly training new hires. To address evolving regulations, capture tribal knowledge, and ensure consistent quality and traceability, Crystal Group turned to Visual Knowledge Share Ltd’s VKS Enterprise work instruction software.

Visual Knowledge Share Ltd implemented VKS Enterprise with custom templates, Embedded Guidebooks, Smart Forms, Certifications and API integrations (including CABEM and the ERP) to standardize procedures and control access to critical instructions. The solution was deployed on the factory floor within six months, delivered 100% traceability of build data, strengthened training and certification workflows so only accredited operators run specific processes, and enabled ERP bi‑directional reporting—reducing manual entries and improving planning and on‑time delivery.
