ONO Technology partnered with SMB Technics, a Turkish metal processing solutions provider, to help win a competitive manufacturing project. The customer needed to present a complete end-to-end production solution that could fit a tight space, improve a mostly manual and unstable process, and meet demanding throughput, footprint, and budget requirements. To support the bid, the team used Visual Components software for design, layout planning, and simulation.

ONO Technology used Visual Components to model multiple line scenarios, optimize the layout, and validate that the proposed manufacturing cell would function correctly in the available area. The final solution was an almost fully automated line with CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, conveyors, robots, and inspection/packaging steps, supported by simulation videos, 3D PDFs, and a VR walkthrough. With this presentation, SMB Technics and ONO Technology delivered the proposal in under two weeks and won the project, giving the customer faster cycle times, improved quality, and lower production costs.
