Fill, an Austrian global mechanical engineering and factory construction company, needed a better way to support sales, production planning, and engineering while avoiding costly design errors. To address this, Fill adopted Visual Components’ 3D simulation software after evaluating 69 different simulation tools, using it to improve visualization and planning of complex manufacturing systems.

Visual Components implemented the solution over a nine-month period, building initial simulations and a standardized component library with both standard and custom components. The results were strong: customer reactions to the simulations were very positive, and the software helped Fill identify a bottleneck in a wood processing line, optimize processes, and raise the projected output from 400 back to 500 planks per hour.
