Faurecia increases flexibility of their production line with 3D simulation

Faurecia, a major global supplier of car seats, needed a more flexible way to plan and improve its production lines and processes as product cycles shortened and simulation requirements grew. To address this, Faurecia adopted Visual Components’ 3D manufacturing simulation software, replacing an older tool that no longer met its needs.

Using Visual Components’ 3DCreate and 3DRealize tools, Faurecia could simulate material flow, internal logistics, worker-to-machine ratios, transport times, and job assignments early in the planning stage. The result was better analysis and optimization before commissioning, improved support for sales and investment decisions, and greater flexibility to adapt lines that may later be dismantled, moved, or reused for other projects.
