Visual Components collaborated with Fair Friend Group (FFG), a Taiwan-based industrial conglomerate, to address the challenge of designing an optimal Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS). Their machine tool division, FEELER, needed a solution to determine the best layout and operational parameters for a turnkey production system for a manufacturer.

Using the Visual Components 4.0 simulation software, FFG implemented a solution to analyze various production layouts and scenarios. This allowed them to determine the optimal number of CNC machines, buffers, stations, and labor resources, as well as the ideal transport priority settings for their Rail Guided Vehicle. Visual Components provided the tools for FEELER to design and optimize the entire FMS offline before implementation, ensuring an efficient and effective manufacturing solution for their customer.
