Sydney Water, Australia’s largest water utility, needed a faster way to manage Active Directory and NTFS after migrating from Novell to Microsoft Windows. Using Visual Click Software’s DSRAZOR for Windows alongside IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager, the team wanted to reduce the time and manual effort required to provision users and support ongoing identity management.

Visual Click Software implemented DSRAZOR to complement Tivoli by handling tasks such as home directory creation, group management, password resets, account disabling, and reporting, while its Zero Privilege Helpdesk Delegation module enabled secure task delegation. The result was a major efficiency gain: user provisioning dropped from up to 40 minutes to less than five minutes per user, freeing Sydney Water staff to focus on more business-critical work.
