Daktronics Meets Sarbanes-Oxley Reporting Demands, Manages Migration to Windows and Scales Up Its Infrastructure Using DSRAZOR

Daktronics, a publicly traded manufacturer of large-scale video displays and scoreboards, needed a cost-effective way to meet Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements for access control and account auditing. The company also faced the challenge of migrating from Novell NetWare and eDirectory to Microsoft Windows and Active Directory without losing its reporting capabilities, and it turned to Visual Click Software’s DSRAZOR for both environments.

Visual Click Software’s DSRAZOR enabled Daktronics to generate detailed reports on user accounts, access rights, file permissions, and password changes, while also supporting its Novell licensing reports and later its Windows migration. The result was significant time and labor savings, including automating a home-directory update for 500 accounts and saving 8–10 hours of manual work, while helping Daktronics scale its infrastructure and avoid manual audits.
