How NRS Generated Over 1 Million Dollars in Programmatic Revenue Through Vistar

National Retail Solutions (NRS) needed a partner to help grow revenue and guide its programmatic advertising strategy for its network of 8,000+ independent convenience stores, bodegas, and liquor stores. NRS’s digital out-of-home inventory offered a captive audience and unique first-party scan data, but the company wanted support in monetizing that inventory more effectively. Vistar Media’s supply-side platform (SSP) was selected to help build and scale that business.

Vistar Media helped NRS use private marketplace (PMP) deals, reporting insights, and buyer outreach to create more predictable revenue and identify relevant advertisers. The partnership also enabled NRS to transact with self-service buyers and omnichannel DSPs. As a result, NRS doubled total programmatic revenue every six months, grew open-exchange and PMP revenue quarter over quarter, and surpassed $1 million in programmatic revenue with Vistar Media.
