How America’s Leading Arts Nonprofit Is Using Infographics to Promote Its Cause

Americans For The Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit for advancing the arts and arts education, needed to turn complex public opinion poll results and lengthy reports into engaging, shareable content that would reach broader audiences without the cost of hiring designers. Kimberly Hedges, Vice President of Web and Technology Strategies, adopted the online infographic tool Visme to create bite-sized visual reports and graphics that communicate key findings quickly.

Using Visme’s templates, drag-and-drop widgets and customizable elements, Hedges produced roughly 20 to 30 infographics herself—adding logos, color schemes and data widgets—to make the poll results easy to understand and share. The Visme-created visuals led to increased website visits and more social sharing, while significantly reducing design costs compared with outsourcing the work.
