RTL Deutschland delivers 30th Spendenmarathon live production with Vislink over private 5G

RTL Deutschland required a stable, low-latency connectivity solution for the live cameras covering its long-form Spendenmarathon broadcast. The challenge was to support full production workflows, including camera control and shading, without reliance on potentially congested public networks. Vislink, in collaboration with Grass Valley, provided its private 5G solution using the INCAM-GV 5G transmitter integrated with Grass Valley LDX 110 cameras.

Vislink's solution deployed a private 5G network on-site, giving RTL dedicated capacity and control. The result was uninterrupted, broadcast-grade performance throughout the event, with the cameras integrating seamlessly into the existing IP workflow. This allowed for continuous remote shading and reliable operation, successfully demonstrating private 5G as a practical tool for live production.
