Broadcast RF needed a reliable way to provide seamless live coverage of the 2015 London Marathon, a long-distance event with coverage gaps caused by bridges, trees, and the full length of the course. To meet the challenge, the company relied on Vislink Technologies equipment, including the L1700 wireless transmitter, power amplifier, GPS tracking, and H.264/MPEG4 encoding for compact, high-quality mobile RF coverage.

Vislink Technologies helped Broadcast RF connect five motorcycles, two helicopters, a fixed-wing aircraft, and the master OB compound into a coordinated live broadcast workflow. With deep interleaving error correction, GPS-based tracking, and LMST modulation for aircraft downlinks, the system delivered continuous low-latency coverage of the marathon course and broadcast the event to millions of viewers worldwide.
