Aer Lingus Airline eliminates loading errors with Visla

Aer Lingus Airline needed to modernize its critical weight and balance process, which relied on an outdated computer system from the 1970s. The airline's Ground Security team approached Visla to create a proof of concept for an electronic Loading Instruction Report Form (eLIRF) to improve the security and stability of aircraft loading operations.

Visla developed and delivered a standalone iOS and Android app with a Node.js backend. This critical application collects baggage and freight data from 12 North American stations and transmits it to centralized load control for performance calculations. Since its launch, the app has completely eliminated loading errors, ensuring aircraft stability and safety. Visla continues to host the backend and provide support for the system.
