A Visix Case Study
Yale University’s Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center, a busy hub for eleven degree programs and more than 500 annual events, needed a more effective way to communicate with faculty, students, guests and visitors than the outdated lobby bulletin board. The challenge was consolidating diverse content—room listings and wayfinding, event schedules, posters and video/web shows—into a clear, continuously updated display that could handle the center’s complex, fast-changing program of activities.
The center implemented AxisTV digital signage (nicknamed “The Board”), importing weekly event data and scheduling stills, posters and converted web shows into multiple display windows. The result is a compact, versatile communications hub that provides instant updates, rotates digital posters, shows room listings and video content, supports special uses like graduation messages and archived programming, and streamlines outreach with potential to expand the approach across other university departments.
