A Visix Case Study
The USC Viterbi School of Engineering, a top‑ranked program with thousands of students, faced a communications gap: a new building had dozens of displays and an A/V system but no way to manage or reliably deliver content to them. Leadership wanted to redistribute existing information across multiple channels to reach diverse audiences, integrate legacy scheduling data, and ensure high message exposure in high‑traffic student service areas.
They implemented AxisTV digital signage across Ronald Tutor Hall, Olin Hall and common areas, using two channel players and automated feeds (over 80% sourced from their long‑standing PerlCal system via AxisTV’s schedule bulletin feature). A clear content workflow and six administrators for approvals ensured timely, consistent messaging; results included greater message retention and PR impact for visitors, wider campus interest in digital signage, and plans to expand and further automate the system.
