Visix worked with the University of Kansas Student Housing to tackle a common higher-education problem: making on-campus housing selection simple, accurate and appealing for prospective students and their families. KU needed a faster, lower-cost way to present up-to-date availability and detailed unit information during campus visits so students wouldn’t waste time on options that weren’t actually open or fit their needs.

Visix delivered an award-winning interactive digital signage system placed at tour start/end with three color-coded search modes—by building type, unit size or campus map—showing photo slideshows, floor plans, amenities, costs and real-time availability. The kiosk also highlights bus stops and accessibility points. The result: quicker, less stressful housing decisions, better-informed students and parents, streamlined selection and a more modern, visitor-friendly image for KU.
