The University at Buffalo’s Office of Medical Computing faced a common digital-signage problem: a dozen 42-inch flat-panel displays sat unused because they lacked an easy, reliable content management system. They implemented AxisTV Professional Edition and configured multi-window layouts (long-term info, weather/Doppler maps, building directory) plus a bottom text crawl; end-users email graphics and the team publishes PowerPoints, JPEGs and web-captured calendars. Integrations with listserves and Blackboard made content delivery faster and more visual, improved student attendance and scheduling visibility, spurred interest across the SUNY system, and set the stage for enterprise expansion and future streaming/menu displays.
