Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) sought to expand its digital communications system to include a modern wayfinding solution for its main campus. The college turned to its existing vendor, Visix, leveraging their expertise to create a custom interactive wayfinding service to help visitors, students, and faculty navigate the large campus with ease.

Visix implemented a custom solution featuring three touchscreen kiosks that provide interactive campus and building maps, event and room directories, and an SMS function to text directions to a user's phone. The result is a self-service system that streamlines navigation across campus. Following the successful deployment, Visix expanded the project at their own headquarters to include a voice user interface, branding it as Brutus to demonstrate advanced contactless wayfinding capabilities.
