Queens College - Customer Case Study

Queens College, a large and diverse senior college in the CUNY system, needed a modern way to reach tech‑savvy students across its 77‑acre campus with hundreds of daily events, clubs and announcements. Administrators wanted a flexible, decentralized communication platform that would let multiple campus groups publish targeted content without relying on time‑consuming paper distribution.

The college deployed AxisTV digital signage and desktop screensavers across 36 LCD displays and about 80 computer kiosks, with an online submission workflow that lets departments and student groups create and schedule channels for specific locations and times. The system increased engagement (rising weekly submissions), cut paper use in support of the city’s sustainability goals, streamlined distribution and promoted events and news with video and multimedia content.
