A Visix Case Study
Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), serving roughly 550,000 residents across 2,100 square miles with 1,700 employees, struggled to deliver timely, engaging information to staff and the public across multiple law enforcement and detention sites. Traditional memos weren’t working for busy deputies or visitors, so the agency needed a way to broadcast critical alerts, training and community messages consistently across locations.
PCSO launched the Sheriff News Network using Visix AxisTV digital signage across seven facilities (with lobby and internal displays), a small in-house production studio, and secure role-based content controls; integrator AVI handled installation for about $200K. The system delivers targeted, repeatable internal and public content (crime alerts, training, PSAs and a 24/7 Polk Sheriff channel), improved message reach and approval workflows, and increased engagement with employees and the community.
