A Visix Case Study
Northwestern University's Norris University Center, a busy campus hub servicing over 7,000 people a day, faced the challenge of communicating events, room schedules and advertisements across high-traffic areas while reducing paper waste and giving student groups and departments easy control over content.
They implemented "Norris TV" with AxisTV digital signage on 40–46" LCDs fed by three channel players, combining internal ads, EMS scheduling feeds and a weather/announcement ticker; content is submitted via an online form. Selling week-long ad blocks ($20 for departments, $10 for student groups) has increased revenue each quarter, cut paper usage, improved engagement, and paved the way to expand digital signage and room signs.
