Visix partnered with Kent State University to redesign how visitors interact with the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center. The challenge was to present large amounts of wayfinding, staff, scheduling and historical athletics content in a single, ADA-compliant interface that’s intuitive for game-day fans and campus visitors without requiring multiple displays.

The solution was a touchscreen kiosk with a clear start page, You Are Here wayfinding maps for every floor, a campus map, scrollable staff directories with “Map It,” QR linking to the KSU site, and a searchable Athletic History archive with year- and sport-based slideshows. The kiosk boosted visitor engagement and dwell time, reinforced Kent State’s athletics tradition, simplified navigation, and reduced hardware needs by consolidating deep content into one easy-to-use interface.
