A Visix Case Study
Frito‑Lay’s 1,500‑person, 28‑acre manufacturing complex needed a faster, more reliable way to communicate across two plants, warehouses and remote offices—especially for shift‑work alerts and weather or safety emergencies. Previously the site relied on easels and bulletin boards, which were labor‑intensive and inefficient, and the plant had limited IT or creative staff to manage communications.
They deployed AxisTV (branded "Frito‑vision")—two channel players, multiple large displays and screensaver endpoints on desktop monitors—to deliver targeted messages to specific areas. HR, operations and safety use the system for events, performance metrics, training videos and urgent alerts; content can be published site‑wide or to individual zones within 15 minutes. The result: quicker emergency mobilization, broader affordable distribution, improved training and safety communication, and reduced administrative time and paper costs.
