Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University needed a faster, more flexible way to communicate across campuses after a 2006 tornado forced relocations and revealed how slow and manual their ad-hoc messaging had become. The university also wanted to replace printed bulletin boards and extend outreach to students and visitors through campus displays and cable TV.

They deployed Visix AxisTV digital signage with three channel players (two in Daytona Beach, one in Prescott), integrated feeds to the campus cable channel and large visitor-center and college displays, and gave departments direct access to post and schedule content. The system cut update time from hours to minutes, empowered staff with minimal training, automated scheduled postings, broadened campus reach, and replaced much of the paper bulletin traffic with centrally managed digital communications.
