A Visix Case Study
Colorado State University–Pueblo, serving nearly 5,000 students, undertook a 2009 renovation and wanted to modernize campus communications and wayfinding. The goals were to replace cluttered flyers, reduce overwhelming email traffic, and provide intuitive, touchscreen wayfinding across a complex multi-floor library and other campus buildings.
They implemented Visix’s AxisTV with an unlimited site license and networked displays (including large touchscreens and dorm/recreation channels), enabling per-screen customized messages, emergency alerts, and live data feeds (weather, solar output, webcams). The rollout improved self-service wayfinding, cut reliance on email and paper, boosted student engagement and a “go digital, go green” image, earned design recognition, and prompted broader campus adoption and new funding opportunities.
