Case Study: BASF improves plant communications with Visix digital signage

A Visix Case Study

BASF reaches 350 employees with Visix digital signage

BASF Corporation, specifically its facility in Freeport, Texas, faced a challenge in reaching 350 production technicians who operated plant control rooms 24/7. These employees did not frequently use computers for email, making routine company communications difficult. To break through this email barrier, BASF turned to Visix and implemented their digital signage system.

Visix provided a solution involving 11 media players and 46-inch displays installed in the control rooms. The system displayed reformatted communications, safety messages, weather, and event photos in dedicated content blocks. This Visix system significantly improved communication to the control room technicians, providing a vital channel for site-wide initiatives. The project's success generated internal interest, and BASF plans to expand use by integrating manufacturing dashboards through Visix's AxisTV software.
