Ofek Captures High Resolution Project with VisionMap A3

Ofek Aerial Photography and Mapping, a 20+ year leader in geographic services with a four-airplane fleet, faced tightening margins and limited good-weather days while needing to deliver an orthophoto product for 8,000 sq. km. Seeking maximum acquisition efficiency, Ofek planned to push the mission further using a Cheyenne aircraft (200+ knots) to capture as much area as possible with existing resources.

Ofek selected VisionMap’s A3 system, which allowed higher, faster flights with wider line spacing; the team captured 10,000 sq. km at 15 cm GSD in four days and added 2,800 sq. km in a single flight. Automated A3 LightSpeed processing ran at ~1,000 sq. km/day, producing 1 m CE90 accuracy without ground control, with first orthophoto packages six days after the first flight and the full project completed within four weeks using a four-server cluster and under four hours of operator time—delivering faster turnaround, lower cost, and extra off-the-shelf material for future sales.
