Case Study: Takata Holdings (U.S.) achieves near-zero downtime and fast role swaps with Vision Solutions' iTERA Availability

A Vision Solutions Case Study

Preview of the Takata Holdings (U.S.) Case Study

Takata Holdings (U.S.) - Customer Case Study

Takata Holdings (U.S.), the Auburn Hills–based arm of the global automotive safety supplier, runs 24x7 manufacturing operations that depend on continuous IT availability to process orders, shipments and EDI traffic. With U.S. systems handling 2–4 million transactions per hour, Takata needed a cost-effective high-availability/disaster-recovery solution that would prevent costly downtime without degrading production performance.

Takata implemented Vision Solutions’ iTERA Availability to replicate all applications and data from production servers in Auburn Hills to a geographically separated backup (originally Greensboro, NC, with a planned move to Germany). iTERA enables rapid role swaps and non-intrusive virtual role-swap testing, delivers negligible performance impact and simplified management, and has proven effective in live swaps and routine testing—protecting operations from downtime and easing DR readiness.
