Switz Group, a leading bakery manufacturer with operations across the Middle East and Asia, needed to ensure its production lines — driven by a JD Edwards ERP running on both Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux — would never be disrupted. With high-volume, around-the-clock manufacturing, the IT team required a business-continuity solution that provided real-time protection and met strict recovery time objectives to avoid lost production and revenue.

Working with Baabood LLC, Switz implemented Vision Solutions’ Double-Take Availability across three primary and three secondary servers to replicate data and applications in real time across Windows and Linux systems. The solution delivered minimal bandwidth overhead, full-server failover in about 15 minutes, RTOs of two hours for backup takeover and 6–8 hours for full site recovery, and successful failover testing — enabling the company to meet SLAs and keep production running.
