ECLAT Textile, a Taipei-based multinational and major ODM for global apparel brands, faced repeated data-centre outages caused by HVAC and maintenance issues that threatened continuous operation of order processing, email and production systems. The company needed a remote disaster-recovery solution that could replicate VMware-hosted databases and mail systems to a secondary Miaoli data centre without requiring identical hardware or complex, costly maintenance.

ECLAT implemented Double-Take Availability to capture byte-level changes and asynchronously replicate systems to Miaoli over an upgraded 100M optical link, supporting mixed physical and virtual environments and one-to-one or many-to-one replication. The result: manual failover to the secondary site within 10 minutes, real-time data integrity, high availability without duplicating infrastructure, simplified administration and lower cost, with plans to extend protection to more critical systems.
