Chickasaw Nation’s Commerce Division, which runs more than 50 businesses including casinos, hotels and restaurants, needed an IT platform that could guarantee zero downtime and real-time recovery. After customer-facing outages and revenue risk, CIO Rob Jacks launched a strategic overhaul in 2005—creating a new IT department and two data centers—to stabilize infrastructure, ensure disaster recovery with zero data loss, and keep guests unaffected by technology failures.

The Nation implemented Double-Take GeoCluster for high availability in their Ada clusters and used Double-Take to replicate systems to a sovereign DR site in Norman. Semi-annual DR tests show failover in under five minutes with zero data loss; routine maintenance and backups now occur without guest impact. The solution enabled new guest features (like slot machine iView), supported major expansion (millions in additional revenue, a 23% lift in per-machine dollars and the largest casino in Oklahoma), and delivered scalable, reliable IT that underpins continued growth.
