Arapahoe House - Customer Case Study

Arapahoe House, a Thornton, Colorado–based nonprofit rehabilitation and detox provider serving more than 21,000 people across 14 facilities, needed to move from paper to electronic client records while meeting HIPAA security and recoverability rules. Unreliable low‑speed circuits, limited IT staff and budget, and no efficient way to share records between sites created delays and duplicated paperwork when clients transferred or were readmitted.

The agency upgraded its network (Qwest DS3/DS1), deployed LibertyNet IMS imaging, and implemented Vision Solutions’ Double‑Take Availability (installed by a certified engineer) to provide one‑to‑one and many‑to‑one replication and failover, using existing spare servers as remote targets. The result was near‑instant recovery of sensitive records, streamlined access across sites, HIPAA compliance for security and recoverability, and a successful paperless transition achieved on a small budget.
