Case Study: Snap Inc. achieves major DEI gains — nearly doubles women in tech leadership and more than doubles Black women hiring with Visier

A Visier Case Study

Preview of the Snap Case Study

Snap - Customer Case Study

Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, set ambitious diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals but found progress stalled: representation in leadership and tech roles lagged, with only modest year‑over‑year changes and declines in some groups. Facing the challenge of improving representation across functions and geographies, Snap needed a way to measure progress frequently while protecting employee privacy and building trust.

Snap adopted a data‑informed, privacy‑first approach using Visier People to track diversity metrics on a monthly/quarterly cadence, apply a “thoughtfulness” lens to analyze why numbers move, and set bite‑sized, accountable goals. The result: faster, more transparent decision‑making, nearly doubled women in tech leadership, more than doubled hiring of Black women overall, and improved empathy and accountability across the organization.
