PTC, a global industrial software company, faced the pandemic-era challenge of shifting a distributed workforce to remote and then defining a return-to-work approach amid rising resignations and a tight talent market. That data-driven approach drove a new hybrid policy (moving from one remote day pre-pandemic to two–three days post-pandemic), uplifted remote offices, enabled skills-based project matching to improve internal mobility, and supported faster, evidence-based decisions that improved retention and operational efficiency.
