Case Study: Leading Industrial Manufacturer improves diversity and accelerates progress to gender parity with Visier

A Visier Case Study

Preview of the Leading Industrial Manufacturer Case Study

Industrial Manufacturer Improved diversity across multiple dimensions

A global industrial manufacturer with more than 35,000 employees across 50+ countries sought to make its workforce reflect the communities it serves and to address inequities amplified by COVID-19, Black Lives Matter, and economic pressures on women and minorities. Leadership set an ambitious goal of 50% female representation in leadership by 2030 and demanded actionable D&I metrics, while limited resources required targeted efforts in the organization’s top ten operating countries.

Using Visier people analytics, the company modeled and tracked hires, promotions and retention across gender and ethnicity, ran a 2030 talent-refresh and an 18-month forecasting plan, and gave leaders clear, data-driven actions. The approach boosted the share of women in mid-level manager roles, improved hiring, promotion and retention rates for women and minorities, and supported programs—eight employee resource groups, inclusion networks, and dialogue sessions—that generated 40,000 career and outreach touchpoints and engaged more than 4,000 employees.
