County Health Rankings & Roadmaps builds a network strategy across 10 priority areas with Visible Network Labs

County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, needed to understand how to leverage formal and informal networks to disseminate data and best practices for improving health outcomes. They partnered with vendor Visible Network Labs to apply a network science perspective and utilize their PARTNER methodology and Community Partner Relationship Management System (PARTNER CPRM) to build an effective strategy.

Visible Network Labs provided in-person training, coaching, and a two-day retreat to help the CHR&R staff shift to a network science mindset and build network leadership capacity. This process culminated in the development of a network strategy and a survey to track progress using PARTNER. The results were transformative, enabling CHR&R to make more strategic partnership decisions, save time and resources, and more effectively reach communities nationwide to improve health outcomes.
