Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation improves more than half of schools with Visible Network Labs

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation sought to evaluate the impact and improve the function of its Networks for School Improvement Community of Practice, a "network of networks" aimed at increasing graduation rates and college readiness for underserved students. They needed to understand what participants gained from the network, what relationships were forming, and how information was being shared. Visible Network Labs implemented a plan to collect and analyze network data through surveys. This provided the Foundation with a visual map of the network's structure and relationships. The results demonstrated significant impact, with over half of respondents developing or improving programs due to their participation. The data collected by Visible Network Labs provided actionable insights that helped the Gates Foundation adjust its plans and strengthen the community's impact.
