Their in-house attempts using public data and open-source libraries failed to deliver the necessary precision for their product, nizima LIVE. This led them to search for a commercial solution and partner with Visage Technologies.

Visage Technologies provided its visage|SDK face tracking technology, which detected and tracked 99 facial landmarks to power the animations. The solution was integrated into nizima LIVE, allowing users to control avatars in real time with a standard webcam. The detailed expression tracking and ability to recognize large motions were crucial for making the avatar movements look attractive, helping establish nizima LIVE as a popular tool for VTubers and digital artists.
