The customer, FaceTrackNoIR, sought to develop a more affordable and accessible head-tracking solution for immersive gaming. Their challenge was to eliminate the need for costly specialized hardware and create a mobile application that could leverage a smartphone's built-in camera. They partnered with Visage Technologies to utilize its face tracking technology.

Visage Technologies provided its visage|SDK FaceTrack, a real-time, lightweight face tracking SDK. The solution was easily integrated, allowing FaceTrackNoIR's FacePoseApp to accurately detect head movements on a smartphone and send that data to a PC via WiFi. The results included a successful application that runs on many devices without requiring additional hardware and frees up the PC's resources, providing an immersive and affordable gaming experience. Visage Technologies' actively developed SDK also ensures the solution continues to improve with newer hardware.
