Prov.net Launches Alpha3 Cloud, Powered by Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure

Prov.net, a provider of colocation and cloud services, launched its Alpha3 Cloud service to offer a better alternative to hyperscale providers for its MSP, CSP, ISV, enterprise, and Telco customers. The challenge was to find a platform that could deliver hyperscale functionality at a reduced cost while being designed for cloud service providers and enabling them to avoid vendor lock-in and margin compression from larger hyperscalers.

The solution was implemented using Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure, an OpenStack-based platform. This partnership with Virtuozzo allowed Prov.net to rapidly build and launch its new cloud service, which provides 100% elastic consumption for various "as-a-Service" offerings. The results were significant, with Prov.net onboarding a large multinational customer within a week of launch to consolidate workloads and reduce its spend on Microsoft Azure. The Virtuozzo solution provided a simplified, cost-effective cloud that accelerates growth for Prov.net and its clients.
