The solution implemented by Virtual Umbrella involved taking the film to multiple West London locations using 12 GearVR headsets with Samsung phones and noise-cancelling headphones. They used Showtime syncing software to run simultaneous viewings for a shared experience, followed by group discussion. Virtual Umbrella’s team provided crucial context, emotional briefings, and ensured on-site mental health resources were available. The result was a successfully delivered series of community screenings that handled the sensitive subject with care and facilitated collective reflection.
