A Virtual Trader Case Study
Xerox Office Group faced a major challenge during a corporate Oracle upgrade: it needed to replace extensive customizations that supported its advanced shared-service operation and integration with the third-party solution OpenUPTIME, while reducing upgrade costs, timescales and project risk. To meet this need, Xerox selected the Virtual Trader Engine as the vendor solution to replace the custom functionality.
Virtual Trader implemented the Virtual Trader Engine as a full replacement, enabling Xerox to run 54 companies through two service centers with fully automated multi-tier Commissionaire and Buy/Sell sales models and complete integration of OpenUPTIME into Receivables and General Ledger. The rule-based approach from Virtual Trader absorbed a major mid-implementation change to Xerox’s European organizational structure and allowed the project to go live on schedule.
