SCIEX streamlines 44 legal entities with Virtual Trader

SCIEX, a global leader in mass-spectrometry instruments, selected Virtual Trader as part of its Oracle R12 rollout. Their challenge was to maximize efficiency for its 44 legal entities while employing a minimal number of Oracle Multi-Org structures and maintaining financial integrity across the system.

Virtual Trader implemented its Intercompany Engine to populate local-currency ledgers at specified rates for flexible statutory reporting and to separate standard cost from profit on intercompany transactions. The solution was so effective that SCIEX expanded the project's scope to include deferred revenue recognition and integration with Oracle AGIS, achieving a highly efficient and financially sound global system.
