Flowserve, a global manufacturer of flow management products, faced complex intracompany logistics for spare parts across EMEA and three Oracle E-Business Suite systems. To automate dynamically changing supply chain requirements while avoiding the risk and expense of customizations, Flowserve deployed the Virtual Trader Intercompany Engine alongside its Oracle EBS solution.

Using Virtual Trader with standard Oracle Purchase and Sales Orders created an automated link between demand and supply, dynamically driving Oracle APIs to create suppliers, addresses and other reference data as needed. The Virtual Trader implementation automated intracompany transactions across the three EBS instances, removed the need for bespoke custom code, and reduced the risks and costs associated with customization while enabling the internal supply chain to respond faster to changing requirements.
