Building a community with the Virtuagym app

The Body Content, a small-group gym in Swords, Dublin founded by trainers Eoin and Beth, was built around a community-first philosophy: helping members feel content in their bodies rather than just chasing extremes. After opening in 2018 and growing organically from about 15 to roughly 50 members, the owners faced the challenge of keeping engagement, bookings and payments simple while preserving the close-knit culture that drives high retention.

They adopted Virtuagym’s platform—using the client app, online community features, step challenges and leaderboards, a booking system, and a flexible credit/payment setup—to automate admin and boost interaction. The result: stronger member engagement and accountability, streamlined bookings and invoicing that save time and cost, improved retention even when payments slip, and a scalable foundation to expand services digitally while keeping community events and socials central.
